Naufus Ramírez-Figueroa vive y trabaja en la Ciudad de Guatemala. Exhibiciones individuales recientes y proyectos de performance incluyen “Linnaeus in Tenebris,” CAPC musée d’art contemporain de Bordeaux (2017); “Two Flamingos Copulating on a Tin Roof,” Museum Haus Esters, Krefeld (2017); y “Illusion of Matter,” Tate Modern, Londres (2015). Sus trabajos han sido incluidos en la Bienal de Venecia (2017); Bienal de São Paulo (2016); la Bienal de Lyon (2015); y la Bienal de Gwangju (2014), así como en exhibiciones grupales en Haus der Kunst, Munich (2018); Los Angeles County Museum of Art (2017); Guggenheim Museum, Nueva York (2017); KW Institute for Contemporary Art, Berlin (2016); entre otras. Ramírez-Figueroa recibió un BFA en Media Arts del Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design en Vancouver, y un MFA del School of the Art Institute of Chicago, y fue investigador posgraduado del Jan van Eyck Academie, Maastricht. Recibió el premio Mies van der Rohe (2017), un DAAD fellowship (2015), el John Simon Guggenheim Fellowship (2012), y el Akademie Schloss Solitude fellowship (2011).
